The Hyundai Venue was launched in India on May 21, 2019. It is priced from Rs.6.5 lakhs. In a short span of time, the SUV has become a huge hit. Bookings have now crossed 33,000. In addition to that, Hyundai revealed that there have been over 2 lakh enquiries of their new SUV.

This notable hike in bookings shows that the Hyundai Venue has instantly appealed to buyers in its segment. Hyundai Venue, based on an advanced version of the K1 platform, is offered in five variants of E, S, SX, SX+ and SX (O).
It gets a new signature grille, split headlamps setup with LED DRLs, 17” machine cut alloy wheels and is offered in our variants, seven monotone colors and three dual tone color options. It gets roof rails, LED tail lamps, new rear bumper and faux silver skid plates.
Offered with a plethora of segment first features, the Hyundai Venue is the country’s first connected car. It gets features such as SOS alert, a voice assist system that recognizes the Indian accent, remote engine start and climate control. The Venue also comes in with an in-built eSIM card powered by Idea-Vodafone and Hyundai offering free data to owners during the warranty period.
Following this period, the owners can recharge the SIM via regular data packs. Other segment first features are the sunroof, wireless charging system, air purification, an 8.4” HD display screen and Arkamys sound system. It is also in terms of safety, that the Hyundai Venue receives a total of 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, reverse camera with parking sensors and a sunroof.
Engine specifications include a 1.2 liter petrol engine offering 83 PS power and 115 Nm torque mated to a 5 speed manual and a 1.0 liter petrol engine offering 120 PS power and 172 Nm torque mated to a 6 speed manual or 7 speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
The Hyundai Venue also gets powered by a 1.4 liter diesel engine offering 90 PS power and 220 Nm torque mated to a 6 speed manual transmission. The 1.2 liter petrol engine powers E and S variants, while the 1.4 liter diesel engine powers all four trims.
With the Venue, Hyundai aims to become the largest SUV maker of India. In a month, they aim to sell 10k units of Creta and 10k units of Venue. Creta is already achieving that sales target, and if Venue too achieves the same, they will meet their target, and become No 1 SUV maker of India.
