Hyundai Venue has been detailed ahead of showcasing on 17th April 2019 in India. The new Venue will also make its global debut on the same date at the 2019 New York Auto Show. It is the prod-spec car of Carlino Concept, which was showcased at 2016 Auto Expo.
Hyundai Venue is slated for launch in India on 21 May 2019. It will come in to rival the Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV300 and Honda WR-V. This is a fiercely competitive segment. And to arming Venue to get an edge in the segment are some never before seen connected car technologies.
Hyundai claims Venue will be in a class of its own, with a host of segment first features with connected car technologies. Called ‘Hyundai BlueLink’ these consist of 33 services out of which 10 are specific for the Indian market with an inbuilt eSim with Vodafone Idea network. Hyundai Venue smart features include notifying owner about driving behaviour, share the destination and real time tracking along with track vehicle location by family, out of area alert, speed alert, time fencing alert and server voice recognition for India English enunciations.
BlueLink also offers a host of vehicle safety features in terms of remote control functions that include engine start stop, climate control, door lock and unlock and an industry first with Vehicle Theft Tracking and Immobilization in the event of vehicle theft.
With this sort of technology offered on the Hyundai Venue, the company will have around 600 BlueLink training personnel and 10,000 consultants offering explanations and demo of this connected technology to every customer.
Engine specifications on the Hyundai Venue include three options. They are 1.4 liter petrol and 1.4 liter diesel engine from Verna, and an all new 1.0 liter, three cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with dual clutch automatic transmission. Price of the Hyundai Venue is expected between Rs 8-12 lakhs, ex-sh.
