The Isuzu D-Max X-Series SpaceCab and Hi-Lander variants with spruced up exterior and interior are being showcased at 2016 Bangkok Motor Show. A short session of car spotting on any Thai highway is more than enough to observe that the D-Max has a sizable chunk of market share in the nation’s huge pickup market.
Isuzu D-Max X-Series SpaceCab
Both pickup truck models are adorned with an array of accessories that are aimed at enhancing the aesthetics. The black D-Max X-Series SpaceCab gets a glossy grille, smoked headlamps and taillights, a sporty red chin air-splitter, silver-red twin racing stripes on the hood and tailgate, grey alloy wheels, side skirts, and red ‘SpaceCab’ and ‘Isuzu’ badges.
Inside, the D-Max X-Series SpaceCab sports a leather wrapped steering wheel with red contrast stitching, red inserts on the centre console and door pads in addition to dual-tone seat fabric. The loading bay is finished in glossy black to match the exterior color.
Isuzu D-Max X-Series Hi-Lander
The D-Max X-Series Hi-Lander is a double-cab pickup truck which is finished in striking white exterior color with glossy grey grille and bumper inserts. Red bumper stripe and badges further heighten the truck’s youthful appeal. In profile, the D-Max X-Series Hi-Lander gets grey alloy wheels, foot board and body-colored loading bay cladding.
The interiors receive leather upholstery with red contrast stitching while the centre console and door trims are given a glossy black finish. The X-Series logo can be found on the seat covers and door trims. The loading bay is lined with hard plastic.

Both variants are powered by a 1.9-litre Ddi four-cylinder turbocharged (with intercooler) diesel engine which is paired with a 6-speed manual to dish out 150 PS and 350 Nm of torque. Standard equipment include LED DRLs, projector headlamps, ABS with EBD, BA and dual front airbags.
