Based on Jaguar’s new aluminium-intensive platform, which is also seen on the new XE sedan, F-Pace made its global debut in production ready guise at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Offered in a choice of three engine options – 2.0L diesel, 2.0L petrol, 3.0L diesel, and 3.0L petrol. The first, 2.0L diesel generates 180 PS and is offered with either manual RWD/AWD option or automatic AWD option. The second, 2.0L petrol generates 240 PS and is offered with only automatic RWD system.
Third option, 3.0L diesel generates 300 PS and is offered with automatic AWD, while last and the most potent of them all, 3.0L generates 380 PS and is offered with automatic AWD system. The latter does 0-100 kmph in 5.2 seconds, and has an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph.
Featuring a wheelbase of 2,874 mm, and a body that is 4,731 mm long, Jaguar F-Pace features one of the largest cabin area in the segment. It has a boot of 650 litre. Features include full LED headlights, 22 inch alloys, 10.2 inch touchscreen display which runs infotainment system powered by a quad core processor running on a SSD, WiFi hotspot, 12.3 inch instrument cluster, satellite navigation, Jaguar Activity Key (wristband with built-in transponder) and much more.
Trims on offer will be Pure, Prestige, Portfolio, R-Sport, S and First Edition. The car is also going to be launched in India, by 2016.
