Jeep Compass Trailhawk has been long anticipated in the Indian market. It is a hardcore off road variant of the mid sized SUV. Only select SUV from the automaker are entitled to carry the ‘Trail Rated’ moniker and the Jeep Compass Trailhawk is one such model.
Jeep Compass Trailhawk went on sale today in India for a price of Rs 26.8 lakh, ex-sh. The base variant of Compass is priced at Rs 15.6 lakhs, ex-sh. Making the difference in price between Jeep Compass variants at more than Rs 10 lakhs

Its features include large dual tone 17” alloy wheels, anti glare decals on its bonnet, a 7 slotted front grille with gunmetal finish, fog lamps with surrounds and red tow hooks only at the rear in line with the new pedestrian safety norms in effect in the country. Distinctive Trail Rated badges are seen throughout its exterior while it also gets Jeep Active Drive 4×4 system.
The interiors see an improved air conditioning system, better vehicle dynamics and drivability along with lower NVH levels. The Jeep Compass Trailhawk gets an updated voice command and navigation system and comes in with start stop feature for better fuel efficiency.
Its safety features include hill descent control, rear locking differential and an added Rock mode for Select Terrain system. The India spec model also gets a total of 6 airbags, reverse camera, cornering fog lamps and a panoramic sunroof.
The all black colored cabin is done up in leather with leather upholstery on seats and a leather wrapped steering wheel. It is seen with a large 7” full color MID unit and an 8.4” touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Red accents are seen on its instrument console, speaker bezels, etc.
Jeep Compass Trailhawk gets a BS VI compliant 2.0 liter MultiJet Turbo II diesel engine which gets mated to a ZF sourced 9 speed automatic gearbox. This is the same engine which powers the Tata Harrier offering 170 hp power and 350 Nm torque.
