First showcased at the 2016 Intermot Motorcycle Show in Germany last year, the exclusive Kawasaki Ninja H2 Carbon has been launched in India. Price of this limited edition motorcycle starts from INR 42.9 lakh ex-showroom, Surat. The on-road price of the bike in Surat is INR 49.78 lakh. This means it is about INR 8 lakh more expensive than the standard Ninja H2 and about INR 38 lakh cheaper than the Ninja H2R’s on road price.
In its latest avatar, Ninja H2 benefits from Kawasaki’s ‘most advanced electronics package’ and smoother suspension from Ohlins TTX rear shock. New Kawasaki H2 Carbon is Euro4 compliant in terms of emission limit owing to its new exhaust.
New Ninja H2 Carbon wear a new silver-mirror paint with matte elements. H2 Carbon features carbon-fibre upper fairing, also available as a retrofit accessory. All new versions use a six-axis inertial measurement unit that measures lean angle and maximum lean angle among other things. Forward and backward pitch is calculated to optimise traction control and ABS functionality. The bikes feature a new up/down quick-shifter and Brembo brake levers with holes in them to improve aerodynamic performance.
Power to the Kawasaki Ninja H2 is delivered by the same 999 cc supercharged inline 4 cylinder engine which also powers the H2 and H2R. Power delivered by this engine aboard H2 Carbon is 200 PS and 113.5 Nm torque, same as standard H2. Transmission is via 6 speed gearbox.
In all, 120 limited Ninja H2 Carbon editions will be manufactured, each individually numbered. It is not clear as to how many have been allotted to India. However, it is still a matter of huge pride as Kawasaki India went ahead and got some units reserved for their customers here. Have a look at the photos and video below.
