Kia India website launched – Announces Dealer Roadshow in major cities
Kia Motors plans to hold road shows in August and September to identify dealers and to showcase 3-4 products at Auto Expo 2018.
South Korean car maker, and a subsidiary of Hyundai, Kia Motors have officially launched their Indian website – marking its entry into India. Kia Motors is also on the lookout for company partners and dealers and will commence road shows in August and September for the same.
Though Kia has not revealed what cars will be showcased at the road shows, it is expected that the Kia Provo Concept may be revealed while Kia Stinger will be on display at the Auto Expo. Kia Picanto and Kia Rio Sedan are also two models in the company lineup which could make their way to India.
Kia Motors is also in the process of setting up a local plant at Anantapur District in Andhra Pradesh. Work on this new plant is set to commence from Q4 2017. This upcoming plant is being built at an investment of US$1.1 billion and will have annual production of 300,000 cars with a range of vehicles built exclusively for the Indian consumer.
Production is set to commence from mid 2019. The plant will be spread over 23 million sq ft and will house various facilities which will include stamping, welding, painting and assembly.
The new company website offers information on Kia Dealer Roadshows which will be held in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata and New Delhi. This road show will offer prospective dealer partners the chance to meet with Kia Motors executives and know more about the cars which will go on sale in India from 2019.
