Lamborghini driver accidentally accelerates – Ends up under a new Honda Civic

The crash occurred on Friday night at the West Loop in Chicago. A Lamborghini Huracan Spyder was rear ended by another car pushing it onto a Honda Civic parked at the rear. The Lamborghini driver accidentally stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake and this is what caused the unfortunate crash.

The couple in the Lamborghini was on their way to dinner when the incident occurred. Dmitry Richie, the driver of the Lamborghini which got wedged under the Honda Civic, stated that instead of hitting the brakes he rammed on the accelerator causing the wedge shaped car to slide under the Honda Civic.

The Huracan Spyder in matte black with red wrap and gloss black wheels can be seen under the bright blue Honda Civic sitting atop its windscreen.

Fortunately no one was injured in the impact as both the occupants of the Spyder came out unharmed. The Honda Civic was unoccupied and parked at the West Loop near the intersection of Randolph and Clinton Streets when the incident occurred.

On closer inspection it can be noted that the Huracan took the major brunt of the impact with its passenger side front fender dented. The bumper is also scratched and the hood damaged while the driver side of the windshield is completely smashed.

The Lamborghini driver did not appear to be concerned about the accident, instead was eager to get out of the vehicle since he noted a gas leak. He admitted that the accident was his fault as he stated that he was driving straight when another driver in the intersection made a left turn. He was trying to avoid an accident but pressed on the accelerator instead of the brake. He also looks forward to going out on Monday to make a purchase to replace the damaged car.
