Lamborghini Huracan RWD launch

As the name suggests, Lamborghini Huracan RWD is a rear wheel drive supercar. Thanks to the missing AWD setup, weight has reduced by 33 kgs.

Lamborghini has been the most aggressive supercar brand in the country in recent years. They have been regularly launching new cars in the country, and that too close after its global debut. For example, the Huracan RWD which has been launched today, was only unveiled globally on 7th Jan 2020.

In about three weeks of is global launch, this rear wheel driven Italian bull is ready to take on the Indian roads. Priced from Rs 3.22 crore, ex-sh, the Huracan RWD is powered by a 5.2 liter V10 naturally aspirated petrol engine, which delivers 610 PS of power and 560 Nm of torque. Via the sports 7 speed dual clutch gearbox, all this power and torque is sent to the rear wheels.

But if you want to stay on the road, or set record lap times, there is help on offer. Lamborghini Huracan RWD comes with state of the art traction system called P-TCS, activated in the STRADA mode. This makes sure your 305 section rear tyres don’t lose traction, when you put pedal to the metal or when you are taking on those high speed curves. In numbers, Lamborghini claims that the new Huracan RWD with P-TCS improves your corner-exit traction by 20% and the oversteer by 30%; when compared with the previous Huracan RWD.

If you want the traction to be off, there is the Sport mode. This is the mode for when you plan to lose control or drift the car all over the place and have some actual fun, for which this car has been built. To keep your fun in check, there is an automated system. If the system realizes that your car is drifting out of control, it will automatically reduce torque that is being sent to rear wheel – and thus help you stay on the track.

Chassis of the Lambo Huracan EVO RWD is made from a mixture of aluminium and carbon fiber – this has resulted in the kerb wt of this supercar to be at just 1,389 kgs. Combination of a powerful engine, superfast gearbox, state of the traction system, and lightweight body, delivers numbers like these – 0-100 kmph in 3.3 seconds; 0-200 kmph in 9.3 seconds and top speed of 325 kmph, same as that of AWD Huracan.
