Lamborghini Urus S gets a 4.0L twin turbo V8 engine, mated to an 8-speed transmission and a sophisticated AWD system
The Italian brand recently launched the performance-oriented Urus Performante in India for Rs. 4.22 cr (ex-sh). Lamborghini has now launched Urus S, which is pegged as standard Urus’ replacement. Lamborghini Urus S is priced Rs 4.18 cr (ex-sh). It is positioned below the high-performance Performante variant.
Lamborghini Urus S – Among Fastest Super SUVs
Powertrain figures for Urus S are similar to that of recently launched Performante. We’re talking about a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 developing 666 bhp of power and 850 Nm of torque. An 8-speed AT and AWD allow this Super SUV to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, 0-200 in 12.5s, and hit 305 km/h top speed if let off the leash. Lamborghini Urus S mileage is at 7.09 kmpl. It comes with a 85 liter fuel tank.
Lamborghini Urus offers supercar performance in an SUV body style. Individuals looking for a comfortable high-performance SUV are likely to gravitate towards Urus S, from Performante. The latter gets stiffer and lower coil springs. These lend sporty dynamics. Urus S retains standard Urus’ air suspension, making it comfier than Performante. Air suspension on Urus S enables variable ride height and a pillowy ride.
Adaptive ride height gives Urus S multiple off-road modes – TERRA, NEVE and SABBIA. Performante only had one off-road mode. Urus S gets a new drive mode – EGO. A new bumper, stainless steel skid plate, black lines on front grille, carbon fiber painted bonnet with matte black air vents and carbon fiber roof (optional) are notable elements. Twin-pipe exhaust, standard 21” and optional 22” and 23” gives Urus S necessary aggression.
Lamborghini Urus S gets a ton of connected car features too. Services like Remote Park via Lamborghini Unica app and virtual car key and smartwatch controls are other notable features.
