4th-gen Lexus RX 450hL hybrid electric has been launched at a price of Rs 99 lakh. The vehicle runs on a 3.5-litre BSVI compliant engine. RX is available for booking from October 2019. RX 450hL exterior has an improved and prominent character line that runs from to the rear.
The hard to miss exterior has an appearance of exceptional flow, and reflects Lexus’ new design language. It’s V6 Atkinson Cycle engine features Dual VVT-i and advanced D-4S fuel injection system for outstanding performance and drivability, improved fuel efficiency, and lower emissions.

New RX sports changes to the suspension, and increased body rigidity from hot-stamp for an improved drive experience. High-tensile steel and aluminum usage with strategically positioned reinforcements makes it lightweight, and lends to agile handling. Spot welds and body adhesives, and use of laser screw welding has improved rigidity, resulting in improved steering response and ride comfort.
Active Cornering Assist (ACA) ensures a linear steering feel to find an apt driving line in all types of conditions. Redesigned shock absorbers feature a new Friction Control Device (FCD) to reduce high- frequency vibrations caused by road surface imperfections. Changes to suspension aid flat cornering and and improved responsiveness.
RX450hL banks on theatre style seating for great visibility to occupants in each row. 3-eye, energy-efficient L-shaped LED lamps with integrated LED DRL are put together in an arrowhead-shaped illumination. Advanced LED turn signal lamps illuminate sequentially from inside to out in the headlamps. Front bumper integrated LED lamps lower power consumption during bright beam for improved night visibility.
Lexus RX features a new touch-display screen with remote touch interface. There’s a new phone holder, and USB port, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Voice control is enabled via native cloud connection, or customer’s phone to Apple Siri or Google Assistant. Lexus navigation is on offer or customers can use phone apps for navigating.
