Lohia Auto unveils electric rickshaw, scooter at Smart Cities Expo in Delhi

A total of 325 exhibitors from 40 countries have participated in the second edition of Smart Cities Expo.

The three-day Smart Cities India 2016 Expo at Pragati Maidan, Delhi, comprises 325 national and international companies displaying trends and technologies for integrated smart city management.

Being held at Pragati Maidan from May 11-13, 2016, Smart Cities India 2016 Expo will showcase a host of Smart Mobility Solutions. Lohia Auto Industries are displaying new electric vehicles specially designed for smart cities which include an electric scooter and auto rickshaw.

Lohia Auto Industries also has an electric delivery van and garbage collector on display while the lithium ion electric scooter is being presented for local rides.

The new electric scooter called Oma Star L1 has a charging time of less than three hours while battery life is more than 1,000 cycles. The scooter along with other range of e-vehicles displayed by Lohia Auto is best suited for last mile connectivity for Smart Cities and offers both safe and cost efficient transport solutions.

The concept electric three-wheeler comes equipped with 5.7 KW motor. It is being presented in a futuristic design and suited for travel within the Smart City. It is powered by a 5.7 kW motor and has the capacity to seat up to 3 adults. Being displayed as India’s first concept electric three wheeler, it will go a long way in curbing the emission of harmful gases as is seen on other three wheelers which run on diesel or CNG.
