Mahindra Trucks and Buses have updated its Blazo range of heavy commercial vehicles and introduced the new Blazo X today. Where the Blazo range is concerned, there are over 20,000 units of the Blazo trucks on the road as on date, sold over a span of 2-2.5 years. Each of these vehicles brings in better return to the owner and excel where fuel efficiency is concerned.
Mahindra Blazo X has been developed for better fuel efficiency and higher return. It receives a more powerful engine as compared to the Blazo thereby relating the best in class delivery. Blazo X is powered by a 7.2 liter engine offering 274 hp power.
It gets three power mode controls of Turbo, Heavy and Light. The light mode is for when the truck has no payload with 205 hp. Heavy mode is for medium payload with 220 hp while the Turbo mode is for full loaded with 274 hp. Mahindra Blazo X is offered with a 6 month 6 lakh km warranty and has been launched at an additional INR 25,000 over the Blazo price.
Mahindra has also launched the Blazo X with a quick service guarantee. If any Blazo X is brought into the company service center, delivery is promised within 36 hours or the company will pay Rs 3,000 per day.
Blazo X boasts of enhanced features, especially where the vehicle’s air management system and rolling characteristics are concerned. These trucks have among the best rolling parts in the segment. However, it will be its higher level of fuel efficiency which will be a major attraction among buyers, especially during these times of escalating fuel prices. Blazo X is available across Haulage, Tractor-Trailer and Tipper platforms and equipped with Blazo Fuelsmart technology.
Along with the launch of Mahindra Blazo X, the company has also announced setting up of its Express North-South Service Corridor. Consisting of 41 service touch points along the 3,800 kms Kashmir to Kanyakumari stretch, there is one ever 100 kms, each of which are well equipped and capable of handling service reach of 4 hours or Rs 500 compensation for every hour of delay. The opening of this corridor follows the Mumbai-Delhi service corridor that caters to 30% truck movement along this stretch.
