Mahindra has confirmed that the launch of their all new luxury MPV (Mahindra Marazzo) is near. Ahead of that, on the 31st of this month, Mahindra has scheduled a press conference where they will officially reveal name of their upcoming MPV, which is currently codenamed U321.
Though it is not clear what could the name of this new Mahindra MPV would be, one thing is for sure that the name of the car will end with the letter ‘O’, as is the case with Mahidra vehicles Scorpio, Bolero, TUV3OO, XUV5OO, Xylo, Furio, etc.
We have come across a new Mahindra account on Twitter by the name of – Mahindra Marazzo. The bio reads – “On 31st July, this official Mahindra account will reveal the brand name and design inspiration for our latest offering, the U321. Stay tuned!” Could the name of their new MPV be Marazzo?
Interestingly, a few minutes after this article was posted, the verified twitter account @MahindraMarazzo deleted the cover photo and profile photo. They also removed the bio. Luckily, we had taken screenshots. The photo gives you an idea of how the twitter account looked at the time of publishing this article.

Set to compete against the likes of Toyota Innova Crysta and Tata Hexa, the U321 MPV will be a premium vehicle. Exterior features such as a larger front grille, swept back headlamps with projector headlamps, vertically stacked tail lamps and new alloy wheels in a sportier design are on offer.
Mahindra will be offering the new Marazzo MPV in both 7 seater and 8 seater configurations. Interiors will be seen in a two tone color scheme with piano black surfaces on the dashboard. The centrally positioned touchscreen infotainment display will have buttons and dials on either sides while interiors will also be seen with a three spoke steering wheel, large central AC vents and large vents on either sides and a twin pod instrument cluster.
The first ever MPV to be developed by Mahindra’s North American Development Center in Troy, Michigan, the U321 will receive ABS and airbags as standard across all trims while it will comply with upcoming crash safety norms.
Engine specifications on the 2018 Mahindra Marazzo MPV are a mystery. It could get an all new set of petrol and diesel engines. Could the much awaited 1.6 liter mFalcon diesel engine – which has been developed by the company along with SsangYong make debut with this MPV? Well, we will know for sure in time.
