Considering the countless number of delays that have deferred the launch of Mahindra Mojo, we are not even going to talk about its expected launch date. However, we are certainly going to talk about its engine note that has emerged online recently.
The 296-cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine voices out a sporty note. Mated to a 6-speed transmission, the homegrown power plant churns out 28 bhp and around 26 Nm of torque.
Being a flagship offering, Mojo is not expected to bring in volumes but in the long term, it is expected to uplift Mahindra brand’s image in the two wheeler industry. The top officials are looking at the product as a demonstration of its R&D capabilities.

As limited scale production has commenced at Pitampur plant, Mahindra has sent a few Mojo’s to customers for feedback. The production-spec version features 3D Mojo badge, black engine with Mahindra logo on the crank case, a body colored belly pan, dual-tone seat, golden finished ornamental tubes below the fuel tank, front forks and swing arm, and twin-headlamps with LED DRLs.
The tourer will lock horns with the likes of Honda CBR250R, KTM Duke 200 and more premium products like Kawasaki Z250.
