Mahindra Thar Signature Edition launch price Rs 10 L – Video tribute to Last of its kind

Mahindra Thar Limited Edition

Production of current generation Mahindra Thar, one of the most iconic off-roading SUV in India, is about to end. Thar has been on sale since 2010. To give the current Thar a proper send-off, and to pay tribute to the 70 years legacy of the iconic Mahindra SUV, the company has launched a new limited Edition Thar.

Called Mahindra Thar Signature Edition, it is limited to just 700 units. It is presented in two exciting colour options of Napoli Black and Aquamarine.

Mahindra Thar Signature Edition receives black decals on the bonnet and silver finish on its bumper, setting it apart from the regular model. It will also get distinctive Signature Edition badging on its fenders along with a signature of Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group. The Signature Edition will sit on 5 spoke, 15” alloy wheels.

Veejay Ram Nakra, Chief of Sales and Marketing, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “We are delighted to introduce the last 700 units of our iconic off-roader, Thar, in its current avatar. We believe that the enthusiasts will see it as their last chance to own a piece of this Mahindra legacy, as a must-have garage collectible.

The Thar is clearly an extension of our 70 years legacy and what brand Mahindra stands for. Over the years, it has successfully shaped the lifestyle vehicle segment while being popular with the off-road tribe.”

There will be no mechanical changes to the Mahindra Thar Signature Edition. It will be this 2.5 liter CRDe engine that will power the Signature Edition capable of 105 bhp power at 3,800 rpm and 247 Nm torque at 1,800-2,000 rpm mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox. Company dealerships have commenced bookings for the Thar Signature Edition.
