Maruti Suzuki has been going through a rough patch. Not only have sales dipped 36 percent in July 2019, but market share also fell 4.60 percent. The car sales slowdown has not only affected Maruti Suzuki, but every other automaker in the country. Sales have been down across all segments leaving dealerships with piling stocks.
To gain traction back to showrooms, Maruti Suzuki has been extending discounts and exchange schemes over the past few months. These discounts are being offered both at the company’s Nexa outlets and via Arena showrooms through the month of August 2019. In the previous post we detailed the discount offers available at Nexa showrooms. In this post we will detail the offers available at Arena outlets.
Maruti Alto 800 is being offered through August at a cash discount of Rs.15,000, a special Freedom offer of Rs.5,000 and special institutional offer of Rs.5,000. There is also an exchange bonus of Rs.20,000 while buyers opting for left over stock of BS IV variants can get an additional discount of Rs.10,000.
There are total benefits of Rs 42,500 on Maruti Alto K10 BS VI variant and of Rs 62,500 on Alto K10 BS IV variant. The manual transmission Alto K10 gets a cash discount of Rs.15,000, Freedom offer of Rs.5,000 along with an additional discount of Rs.10,000 on BS IV variants while buyers also get an exchange bonus of Rs.20,000 and institutional offer of Rs.5,000. Discounts on the AMT model extends upto Rs.62,250.
Buyers of the Maruti Celerio petrol variants through the month of August can avail of a cash discount of Rs.20,000, freedom offer of Rs.10,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs.20,000. There is also an institutional offer of Rs.2,500. The Celerio CNG variants with MT get all the above discounts but freedom offer is extended to Rs.15,000 while cash discount is at Rs.19,000.
Maruti Suzuki Eeco MPV discounts for August extend to Rs.22,500. These include a cash discount of Rs.5,000 on petrol variants, a freedom offer of Rs.5,000 and exchange bonus of Rs.10,000 along with institutional offer of Rs.2,500. CNG variants are offered at all the above discounts with higher cash discounts taking total benefits upto Rs.27,500.
Newly launched Maruti Swift and Dzire BS6 petrol variants are being offered at discounts of up to 29,000. In addition, there is exchange bonus of 25,000 as well as free 5 yr warranty.
The third generation WagonR has been noting excellent sales but is still among the list of cars being offered by Maruti Suzuki at a discount. Through the month of August, discounts on the WagonR extends to Rs.17,500 which does not include any cash discount but only an exchange offer of Rs.15,000 and institutional offer of Rs.2,500.
