The last month in the year is the time when automakers wish to clear out stocks of the same year, and make way for new 2019 offerings. The 2018 festive season failed to bring in results with lower than expected sales while the situation was further compounded by high fuel prices, insurance costs and a fall in the stock market.
Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced end of the year discounts, benefits and exchange schemes across its segment. These NEXA dealers are offering the entire range of premium vehicles at discounts which include the Ignis, Baleno, Ciaz and S-Cross.
Discounts and benefits on the Maruti Ignis extend to Rs.85,000 and is offered both on the manual and automatic variants. The end of year offer also includes a Rs.25,000 exchange bonus. Maruti Suzuki Ignis hatchback, introduced at the 2016 Auto Expo, is exclusively offered in a 1.2 liter petrol engine mated to a 5 speed manual and AMT.
Maruti Baleno is a premium hatchback offering and as part of the year end discount scheme comes in with a Rs.40,000 discount which also includes a Rs.15,000 exchange bonus. The Baleno has seen notable sales throughout the past year and sales crossed the 5 lakh mark. It rivals the Honda Jazz and Hyundai i20. It is powered via a 1.2 liter petrol engine offering 83 hp peak power and 1.3 liter diesel engine capable of 75 hp power. Both engines get mated to a 5 speed manual while the petrol engine also gets a CVT automatic.
Discounts on the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, being sold via NEXA outlets extends to Rs.70,000 on lower Sigma and Delta variants while the higher end Zeta and Alpha variants come in with offers upto Rs.50,000.
Maruti S-Cross is being presented this month with discounts and exchange offers extending to Rs.75,000. It is powered by a 1.3 liter diesel engine offering 90 hp power and mated to a 5 speed manual transmission.
