Maruti Brezza beats Hyundai Creta in sales – Top 10 Best selling SUVs for July 2018

The ongoing love for SUVs and Crossovers from the Indian consumers has continued in July’18 and the sales charts convey the same story. Maruti has two of its vehicles in the top 10 list, Mahindra has 3, Hyundai, Toyota, Ford, Honda and Tata have one each.

Maruti Brezza has reclaimed the best-selling SUV tag, back from the Hyundai Creta, by selling 14,181 units against 10,423 units of Creta during the previous month. But, in terms of revenue, it is the Creta which brings in more revenue for the car maker. Hyundai earns more profit by selling a unit of Creta as compared to what Maruti earns by selling a unit of Brezza.

Mahindra Bolero continues to maintain its place in the top 5 list, this time on the 3rd spot with 6,559 units sold. Maruti Suzuki S-Cross has come a long way from its initial launch days (2015) and has managed to reach the fourth best-selling spot by selling 5,308 units, majorly due to the facelift and the price-cuts.

Ford’s Ecosport, one of the first sub-4 metre compact SUV in the country has continued to do well by posting sales of 4,040 units in July’18. Mahindra’s Scorpio, XUV500 and TUV300 have all managed to feature in the list by posting sales of 3,876, 2,766 and 2,091 units respectively.
