The new 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz has been officially launched. It is set to enter NEXA showrooms across the country, and like its earlier counterpart, is set to be the most loved sedan with outstanding performance and unmatched comfort.
2018 Ciaz comes in with an evolved design language. It gets dynamic character lines running from the front to the rear giving it a sleeker style and stance. There is also the new LED DRL in the headlight cluster along with projector lamps. Rear tail lights are LEDs.
The fog lamp cluster gets chrome surrounds with blacked out encasing while the new Ciaz sits on 16” multi spoke alloy wheels with dual tone finish. The new Ciaz gets seven color options that include a sporty red shade, traditional metallic brown and two new shades of metallic gray and silver.
Dual tone color scheme continues to its interiors which receive a Birch wood finish, comfortable seating in a lounge like appearance. There is a TFT display with touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Engine specifications on the new Ciaz includes a 1.5 liter petrol engine with SHVS, which has 13% more power and 6% more torque that that seen on its earlier counterpart. It also gets a new 1.3 liter, 4 cylinder diesel engine that gets an improved mild hybrid SHVS technology – Smart Hybrid Vehicle System. Both engines get mated to a 5 speed manual. Petrol engine also gets a 4 speed auto box.
Offered in Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha trims, prices for the petrol smart hybrid are from Rs 8.19 lakhs to Rs 9.97 lakhs. In the petrol smart hybrid automatic, prices range from Rs 9.80 lakhs to Rs 10.97 lakhs while in the diesel smart hybrid range, prices range from Rs 9.19 lakhs to Rs 10.97 lakhs
