Maruti Suzuki will be showcasing a host of new models at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. The three which have been confirmed are – Ignis mini SUV, Baleno RS with 1.0L Boosterjet, and the new Vitara Brezza.
Martui Vitara Brezza will also be launched at the Auto Expo. It is the company’s first launch in the compact sub-four meter SUV segment in India. Slated to make its official debut at on 3rd Feb, Maruti Suzuki dealers are enticing prospective buyers sending them emails, notifying them about the arrival of Brezza.
Vitara Brezza is being presented in five trim levels – L, V, V+, Z and Z+ while both petrol and diesel engine options will be available. Buyers can opt for a 1.2 liter K-Series petrol engine or a 1.3 liter DDiS diesel engine mated to either CVT or AMT besides a 5 speed manual gearbox. It is also rumored that the new Vitara Brezza will receive Suzuki’s SHVS mild hybrid technology on board the diesel variant.
Spied on test and teased via snapshots, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza sports features like projector headlamps with LED DRLs, a vertical slat grill sporting a Suzuki badge, a radiator grill with fog lamps, turn indicators and split taillamps.
The Brezza will receive safety features to include ABS with EBD, dual front airbags as standard while other features will include reverse parking sensors with parking camera, keyless entry with push button start, 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel and touchscreen SmartPlay entertainment system.

Positioned below Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, the new Brezza is expected to be priced between INR 6-9 lakh while it will compete with the likes of Mahindra TUV300, Ford EcoSport and soon to be launched Tata Nexon. The new Brezza will be sold through regular Maruti Suzuki dealerships in the country and not via NEXA dealers.
