17 Feb 2015 Update: Today, GaadiWaadi posted new spy shots of Maruti DZire compact sedan. Last week we had reported how Manesar plant parking was occupied by more than 8,000 units of new DZire. Scheduled to be launched in the coming weeks, these new photos confirm that dealer dispatch of DZire facelift has commenced and the cars have started arriving at dealerships.
29 Jan 2015 – According to latest report on Maruti Suzuki, Maruti Dzire facelift is the first product in the company’s pipeline for 2015. The compact sedan will carry the traits of Swift hatchback updated during the end of October last year.
Cosmetic upgrades in new Maruti Dzire facelift would include new thick chrome bar on front grille (which is reminiscent of its competitor, Honda Amaze), new fog lamp trims finished in chrome that look just like those in Suzuki Alivio sedan (Ciaz in China), revamped bumper, redesigned headlamp elements, trendy alloy wheels, and refurbished rear end including tail lamps and bumper. Interiors would feature keyless entry & go (start/stop button), new multimedia system with Bluetooth connectivity, six-speaker system, audio & call controls on steering wheel, reverse / parking sensors, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, same dual-tone colour scheme (beige & black) and new seat upholstery.
Powertrain options will not be changed, however, tweaks made to Swift’s engines will be passed on to new Maruti Dzire facelift for improved mileage.
