Maruti Suzuki India Limited expects to see as much demand from the second generation Ertiga as was noted on its earlier counterpart. On sale via the company’s 2,200 dealerships, sales have taken off on a good note with almost every dealer citing a 1 month waiting period.
New Maruti Ertiga MPV is launched in four variants of L. V, Z and Z+ while prices range from Rs. 7.44 lakhs to Rs 11 lakhs. The Ertiga is presented in a new Blue color scheme, gets a new platform and revamped exterior and interior designs.
Apart from the standard package, new Ertiga also gets a range of 50 accessories, which are available at all authorized dealers. Details of these accessories has now been revealed via official brochure. New Maruti Ertiga gets various styling kits to make your MPV look unique. In these there are underbody spoiler for the front, rear and side.
Then there is rear upper spoiler, black alloys, wheel covers, side body moldings, door visor, headlamps garnish, tail lamp garnish, rear bumper garnish, foglamp garnish, number plate garnish, etc. On the inside, you get multiple options for seat design, designer mat, boot mat, carpet mat, interior styling kit, illuminated door sill, and so on.
The new Ertiga is based on the HEARTECT platform contributing to increased dimensions while the company also confirms a new platform that ensures not only more stability and rigidity but also enhances safety along with improved NVH levels in its cabin.
The new platform makes the Ertiga 99mm longer, 40mm wider and 5 mm taller while boot space has also been increased from 185 liters to 550 liters with third row seats folded down while with second row seats folded, this space can be extended to 803 liters.
On sale via Arena outlets, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga competes with Renault Lodgy, Honda BR-V and Mahindra TUV300 and Mahindra Marazzo.
