Maruti Nexa has drafted exchange / discount offers for a range of its vehicles for November 2019. Baleno BS6 comes with a price benefit of Rs 30,000. This includes 15k as a discount and 15k for exchange bonus. The vehicle doesn’t have any corporate benefit this month.
Baleno Sigma is offered with a total discount of Rs 35,000. This includes discount of 20k, exchange of 10k, and 5k in corporate discount. Baleno diesel comes with a discount of 45k. This includes 20k discount, exchange bonus of 15k, and corporate discount of 10k.
Ciaz 1.5 petrol and diesel are being offered with a total discount of Rs 65,000. This comes about owing to a discount of 25k, exchange bonus of 30k, and corporate discount of 10k. In addition to the above, Ciaz 1.5 diesel also comes with 5-year warranty.
The Ignis is available with a discount of Rs 52,000. This includes discount of 25k, exchange bonus of 20k, and corporate bonus of 7k. S Cross is being offered with the biggest discount at Rs 90,000. This includes 50k in discount, 30k in exchange bonus, and 10k corporate bonus. S Cross also benefits from a 5-year warranty package.
MSIL was able to stay in the green in October owing to positive sales tied quite closely to month-long festivities, the discount on offer this month largely mirror what was on offer last month. While it would seem an opportune time to buy a new car, there’s no guarantee November sales will be able to mirror those of last month.
There seems to be an uniformity in the discounts being offered, and it’s likely the pattern could continue until end of year. While overall discount packages look larger than life, for most people it’s the cash discount that’s most usable. Given that, last month, MSIL has actually reduced the cash discount on offer. That trend has continued onto this month.
As Maruti has rolled out BSVI models across the portfolio, there’s good reason to not expect any additional discounts on account of selling off BSIV stock within the stipulated deadline of March 31, 2020. Maruti XL6 too is sold through Nexa dealerships but owing to its newly launched status, the vehicle doesn’t yet entail discounts.
