Maruti Alto, Brezza, Swift, Baleno, Ertiga Tour – Price cut from today

Maruti Alto CNG

From today, Maruti Suzuki India has announced a price cut of Rs 5,000 on select cars. The cars which have received a price cut from the company are – Alto 800, Alto K10, Swift Diesel, Celerio, Baleno Diesel, Ignis, Dzire Diesel, Tour S Diesel, Vitara Brezza and S-Cross.

The reason Maruti Suzuki India has offered a price cut on their cars is because Govt of India recently announced a corporate tax cut, in order to give a boost to the Indian economy.

Apart from Maruti, no other company has announced price cut. Hyundai India, Tata Motors has stated that they will not be reducing prices. Bajaj has said that tax cut will help the company recover losses they suffered in the past few months.

Maruti car discounts
In addition to car discounts, Maruti dealers are offering above discounts.

Apart from tax cuts, Maruti Suzuki cars are also on offer with huge discounts. These are listed above. Almost all cars of Maruti Suzuki India are available at a discount offer. In other news, Maruti Suzuki India has revealed that they might launch big diesel engines with BS6.

Though it was earlier announced that Maruti Suzuki India Limited would steer clear away from manufacture of diesel cars once the new BS VI emission norms come into effect from 1st April 2020, there seems to be a change of policy. T

he largest automaker in the country had earlier stated that converting these engines to comply with BS VI standards would prove a costly affair. This could result in cars being priced higher by around Rs. 2 lakhs which would put extra burden on buyers causing them to stay away from such models.

However, as per the latest update, the automaker has assured its dealer partners that they would be gauging customer’s reactions and if found favorable, may bring back diesel cars for India.

In the meantime, Maruti Suzuki is readying its petrol versions of the S-Cross and Vitara Brezza and also paying significant attention to CNG powered vehicles for which the company is working closely with gas companies and IOCL who have already bid for gas stations.
