Maruti SX4 S-Cross SUV spied wearing distinguished India-spec add-ons
Latest spy pictures of SX4 S Cross MPV you see below, are of the topend Z trim, claims GaadiWaadi. These images reveal that the India-spec S Cross will come with a host of India centric features. This includes, chrome embellishment above the tail-light casing and a dual slat chrome grille in the front.
Apart from this, spy shots also reveal 14 spoke alloys, mirror mounted indicators, projector headlamps and LED daytime running lights. This will add a premium touch to the Z trim. Mid trim VXi/VDi receives halogen headlamps, and 10 spoke allow wheels.
Maruti Suzuki has not disclosed any technical specifications as on date. But it is believed that S Cross will be launched in only diesel trim. Diesel could be in the form of a 1.3 liter Fiat sourced engine capable of 89 bhp power or Maruti could also offer a 1.6 liter engine generating 120 bhp power. The former engine will be mated to a five speed transmission while the later could be mated to a six speed gearbox. In Europe, the car is powered by a 1.6 liter petrol engine offering 120 PS power and 156 Nm torque and a 1.6 liter MultiJet engine offering 120 PS power and 320 Nm torque.
Earlier spy shots reveal interiors of the SX4 S Cross will boast of black colour with silver linings around AC vents, central console and audio system while top end trims will get steering mounted controls, climate control and start stop button.
To be launched in early 2015, price of Maruti SX4 S-Cross will be in the Rs 11-13 lakhs, making it a rival to cars like Nissan Terrano, Mahindra XUV500 and Renault Duster.
