Maruti Subscription Rates at Rs 700 to Rs 1,200 per day – For These 7 Cars

Maruti Suzuki Subscribe car leasing programme is available only in Gurugram and Bangalore at the moment

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) introduced its all-new subscription or leasing programme earlier this month. Dubbed ‘Maruti Suzuki Subscribe’, the initiative is available only in Gurugram and Bangalore in its pilot phase, for select ARENA and NEXA products. The list includes 7 cars – Swift, Dzire, Ertiga, Vitara Brezza, Baleno, Ciaz and XL6.

If the programme proves to be a success, the Indian automaker might expand the leasing option to its affordable range as well. Leasing programmes offer significant flexibilities over the usual or direct way of purchasing a new product. In fact, Maruti Suzuki is not new in the vehicle-leasing business. The company once had a similar programme aimed at corporates. However, it could not gain enough acceptance to stay relevant.

Maruti Suzuki Subscribe partners with Japan-based ORIX Corporation’s ORIX Auto Infrastructure Services Limited. In the affordable segment, Hyundai Motor India and Mahindra & Mahindra already offer leasing options through certain channels. Similar programmes are more common among luxury automotive brands such as Mercedes-Benz and BMW.

Maruti Subscription Rates

Under Maruti Suzuki Subscribe, potential buyers in Gurugram have the option to drive home a new Swift hatchback (in VXi MT trim) at a monthly rate of Rs 21,344 for a tenure of 48 months. In other words, a brand-new Maruti Suzuki Swift costs just Rs 711 per day through the leasing scheme. There are three tenure choices: 24, 36 and 48 months. In Bangalore, the rates are slightly higher. For instance, a 48-month leasing scheme for the Maruti Swift starts at Rs 22,591 or roughly Rs 753 per day.

Similarly, Dzire is available from a monthly rate of Rs 24,249 (Rs 808 per day), Brezza is available from Rs 29,929 (Rs 1,000 per day), Ertiga is available from Rs 30,131 (Rs 1,000 per day), Baleno is available from Rs 23,914 (Rs 797 per day), Ciaz is available from 31,513 (Rs 1,050).

Meanwhile, the most expensive option under Maruti Suzuki Subscribe is the XL6 in ‘Alpha AT’ format. In the tenure discussed above, its Gurugram lease rate stands at Rs 36,860 or about Rs 1,213 per day.

Notable Benefits

Maruti Suzuki Subscribe comes with zero maintenance cost, zero insurance cost and most importantly, zero down payment. Furthermore, the packages promise 24×7 roadside assistance (two per year; three pickup & drop), no indirect effects of dropping resale value; and no hidden costs. The programme can be availed online or any ARENA or NEXA outlet in Gurugram and Bangalore.

It takes about 15 days to complete the entire process and drive the vehicle home. Annual usage is limited to 18,000km. If the vehicle meets with an accident, the customer would not have to pay anything unless it is a case of ‘negligent driving’ (determined by insurance agency). Tolls, parking fees, Fastag recharge, etc., do not come under the scheme.
