Maruti Suzuki India creates new record, delivers 30,000 cars in 1 day

The recent slowdown experienced by the auto sector seems to be in the past. Most auto showrooms and dealers have been experiencing increased sales during the Diwali season. On the eve of Dhanteras, which is a very auspicious day for purchase of vehicles, auto dealers across India saw a spate of customers all ready to buy cars.

On top of the list is India’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India, who has revealed that they have sold a record 30,000 units in a single day. This means that Maruti has managed to sell more cars in a day, than every other car maker (except Hyundai) manages to sell in an entire month. This year’s figure of 30,000 units sold on Dhanteras is higher than last years figure by 20%, reveals Maruti.

Maruti, Hyundai, Renault, Mahindra, Tata Motors, almost every car maker in India has experienced increased sales.  Special offers, cash discounts and attractive schemes launched in time for Diwali have made purchases of cars even more attractive. However, buyers will have to wait for some time before deliveries are finally made. Especially in the case of cars like Maruti Baleno, Vitara Brezza, Tata Tiago, Renault Kwid, Hyundai Creta as these are the most in-demand cars in India today.

Maruti Suzuki India continues to outperform competition, in spite of growing competition. One way or the other, Maruti Suzuki’s market share is growing in Indian auto industry. Of the 2,74,659 passenger vehicles sold during the past month, MSIL sales stood at a total of 1,32,321 units indicating that for every 2 cars sold in domestic markets, MSIL sold 1 model. At a 30% growth in domestic sales, it was MSIL’s highest ever sales to date.

The month of October 2016 will see an even higher number from Maruti Suzuki. Only a few days more to find out.
