The new Maruti Vitara Brezza along with the Ignis and Baleno RS concept will be on display at 2016 Auto Expo. Maruti Vitara Brezza is a sub 4 meter compact sports utility vehicle and is the first vehicle that has been completely conceived, designed and developed by Maruti Suzuki R&D team in India.
Launch of the new Brezza is expected to take place a few weeks after its unveiling at the Expo next month. Once launched, it will be pitted against the likes of Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV300. Set to share its engine lineup with Swift and Baleno, Maruti Vitara Brezza will be powered by a 1.3 liter 90 PS diesel engine and a 1.2 liter K-Series petrol engine. These engines will be mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox as standard, while the petrol engine will also be offered with an automatic box.

Exteriors will be seen in a bold design with a tapered roofline, vertical slat grille, integrated LED daytime running lights with projector headlight and a honeycomb airdam. It will also sport added body cladding, skid plates, and will sit on 16” multispoke alloy wheels. Interiors, done up in all black with silver accents, will sport a central console in piano black, a multi-function steering wheel and power windows.

Infotainment will be in the form of touchscreen SmartPlay, navigation system and safety features will include ABS with EBD, reverse parking camera, voice command function, dual airbags, front seat belt pre-tensioners and anti theft security system. The Maruti Vitara Brezza is expected to be launched in a price range from INR 6 lakh to INR 8.5 lakh.
