Mercedes Benz India has introduced the new GLS 400 4MATIC petrol variant priced at INR 82.90 lakhs. With this petrol offering, the company has now added petrol and diesel engine options to its entire portfolio.
This new petrol version follows the company policy announced in July this year to introduce petrol version on all their models sold in the country by September 2016. This decision was also taken in view of the uncertainties prevailing over diesel vehicles and the ban imposed by Supreme Court for diesel cars above the 2000cc.
Mercedes Benz GLS 400 4MATIC petrol variant comes in just three months after the launch of the diesel variant. The GLS 400 4MATIC petrol receives a V6 petrol engine offering 333 hp peak power at 5,250 to 6,000 rpm and 480 Nm torque at 1,600 to 4,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 9G TRONIC Speed automatic transmission offering elevated level of performance and best in class fuel efficiency with a top speed of 240 kmph.
Mercedes Benz GLS 400 4MATIC is a full size 7 seater SUV and is presented in Polar White and Obsidian Black. Interior space is at a premium while ride comfort, agile dynamics and high level of safety features are its highlights.
The premium luxury SUV boasts of Harman Kardon Logic 7 surround sound system, COMAND Online and Apple CarPlay. On sale at all company dealerships in the country, GLS 400 4MATIC is the company’s 8th car launched this year. It currently comes in as a CBU while local production is set to commence soon.
