Mercedes Benz India gets new bossman – Martin Schwenk

Mr Schwenk has took over as CFO at Beijing Mercedes-Benz Sales Service Co. Ltd. (BMBS) in September 2015, and will take charge in India wef 1st November, 2018.

Martin Schwenk has an Engineering degree from University of Stuttgart. His career at Daimler started in in 1992, through the Mercedes-Benz Trainee Program. Over the years, he has led in positions in Finance and Controlling in various markets, including Germany, South Africa, Austria and United States.

Roland Folger will take over as Managing Director, Sales and Marketing, MBC Hub SEA1 (Thailand and Vietnam), and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Thailand.

Since his tenure in India began (Oct ’15), Roland Folger has been pivotal in Mercedes’ leadership journey here with sustainable sales and network growth. During the time, Mercedes-Benz India has reported its highest market share in the luxury segment. In 2017, Mercedes-Benz India sales crossed the 15k threshold.

Martin Schwenk, currently the Chief Financial Officer of Beijing Mercedes-Benz Sales Service Co.
