Mercedes Benz Performance drive program was started with an aim to establish driving presence in the market, showcase vehicle capabilituies, and at the same time provide a platform for youngsters to develop their driving skills under guidance. As part of Mercedes Performance Drive, the Young Star Driver program was started for individuals in the age group of 15- 25 years. This program has received 1,665 registrations for youngsters looking to hone their as professional drivers, with a possibility of being chosen for a DTM team, and progression to F1.
After completion of an evaluation process, top 12 performers will be chosen for a training program at the BIC for a period of two days. Later 3 of the top performers will be selected for Advanced Training in Germany followed by PRO and Master SLS AMG GT3 training. There has been an encouraging response for the AMG Driving Academy Advanced Course being launched on 15th April 2013 in India. The now sold out advanced course will cost enthusiasts Rs. 100,000.
Mercedes Star Drive Campaign too has seen tremendous of response as there are about 8000 participants who have enrolled for the program, which will let them indulge in an ultimate off – roading experience in the Mercedes Benz SUV’s. This week has seen increased activity in response to the Nashik StarDrive Experience till 12th April for which registration sare being entertained.
