In the last two weeks, Mercedes Benz has added three new variants to the S Class family here in India. But, it seems they are not done yet. We have strong reason to believe that the S Class family will get one more member in the coming weeks. This will be in the form of Mercedes Mayback S600.
Imported into India for homologation, the super luxury Mercedes-Maybach S600 is powered by a 6.0 liter V12 petrol engine mated to a 7 speed automatic transmission. Power and torque figures stand at 523 hp at 4,900-5,300 rpm and 830 Nm at 1,900-4,000 rpm respectively. Acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph is achieved in less than 5 seconds while the vehicle claims mileage of 5.53 kmph in city limits going upto 8.5 kmpl on the highway.
The Maybach S600 as compared to the regular S Class measures 5,453 mm in length and has a wheelbase of 3,365 mm making it 207 mm longer in length and 200 mm longer where wheelbase length is concerned.
Loaded with on board comforts and safety features, the Mercedes-Maybach S600 boasts of Magic Body Control suspension, panoramic sliding roof and power operated sun shades. The windshield is heated while other features include heads-up display and LED intelligent lighting system. The luxury sedan is fitted with Magic Sky Control System allowing users to tint the sunroof, altering interior ambiance at the click of a button.
On board safety features include front, side, curtain and thorax airbags along with seat belt airbag and seat cushion airbags for passengers at the rear. Maybach S600 also sees added safety features such as Pre-Safe Brake with Pedestrian Recognition, Distronic Plus with Steering Assist, BAS Plus with Cross Traffic Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus and Night View Assist Plus.
