MG eZS electric SUV launch for India in December 2019

All eyes are on the MG Hector, the company’s first SUV launch scheduled for India. Today, the auto manufacturer unveiled MG eZS electric SUV globally. This comes ahead of its launch in India, which is scheduled for December 2019.

MG eZS electric SUV is soon to be launched in international markets. When launched in India, MG eZS will be among the first proper global electric SUVs in the country. Launch will be scheduled for other markets like the UK, Germany, Australia, Thailand and Middle East to coincide with launch in India.

MG eZS EV is in the market for those who wish to adapt to electric vehicles. Alongwith making considerations for the environment, MG eZS is a modern vehicle with connected mobility features.

MG ZS petrol variant is already a global availability. A zero-emissions electric alternative will make bring to the Indian market a zero emissions connected car. With EVs proposed to disrupt the mobility landscape, MG eZS will boost the environment-friendly solutions scene in India.

Rajeev Chaba, President & Managing Director, MG Motor India said, “We hope by the time we launch the vehicle; the government would have announced the much-needed subsidies and incentives for the EVs under the recently announced FAME II scheme so that the people are encouraged to by the environmentally friendly mobility solutions. More details about the specifications and features of the eZS will be announced at a later stage.”

As MG India prepares for its Hector SUV launch, the company has planned a sales and service network of 120 outlets across India. MG will also inform and educate about EV driving range, and charging infrastructure. MG eZS electric SUV will feature iSMART Next-Gen, which debuts in the MG Hector SUV when it goes on sale in June 2019. MG’s first connected car Hector will come with inbuilt internet connectivity. Industry-first features include a 10.4” Head Unit, and embedded M2M with Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPV6) ready for 5G.

It features a touchscreen designed with a vertical interface to control the car system with touch or voice command, and pre-loaded entertainment content.
