MG Hector bookings open from Navratri 2019 – Delivery 2020

Due to an unexpectedly huge demand from car buyers in India, MG Motor had to close bookings of the Hector. In just 22 days post launch, bookings of Hector had crossed the 28,000 mark. In addition to this, there is a provisional wait list of customers, this list already has 11,000 names.

This effectively takes booking numbers of Hector to more than 39,000. Of these, about 3,500 have been delivered in the months of July and August. More will be delivered in the coming months as the plant is doing its best to produce as many Hector SUVs as possible.

Good news is that from next month Hector production will increase to 3,000 units from the current 2,000 units. This will bring a huge relief to those who are waiting for Hector as the wait time will reduce drastically.

Thanks to increase in production, MG India will also re-open bookings of the Hector. During the auspicious festival of Navratri, which starts on 28th Sep 2019, MG India has plans of re-opening the bookings of Hector in India. Considering that the company already has a wait list of 39k orders, the new bookings are only expected to be delivered in 2020.

Higher demand is for the Hector petrol auto and the diesel manual. Demand for Petrol hybrid variant is very low in comparison. MG Hector is noting good sales in India ever since launch. Its sales stood at 2,018 units in August 2019, a sizeable jump over sales of 1,508 units in July 2019.

Apart from top notch features and attractive price, MG Hector has also set new standards in after sales and service. This is true for customers who are waiting and those who have got delivery. For those who are waiting, MG has launched a new campaign under which they will get rewarded 1,000 points for every week they have to wait for delivery. So if you have to wait for 10 weeks, your reward is 10,000 points. These can be redeemed at dealership against official Hector accessories from MG India.

For those who have the Hector, MG India has launched free 5 yr warranty with free RSA and 5 year service labour charge. The service system is fully automated and owners are kept updated about their vehicle details during service via SMS along with cost. Above is one such service SMS update shared by MG Hector owner.
