At the ongoing EICMA Show, Italian brand Moto Guzzi has showcased two new motorcycles based on the new V9 platform – Moto Guzzi V9 Roamer and V9 Bobber. Apart from these two, Moto Guzzi also unveiled the Stornello and MGX-21 Flying Fortress at the show.
The new Moto Guzzi V9 Roamer and V9 Bobber are powered by new 850cc two valve 90 degree V twin engines. While power figures are yet to be confirmed, the engine offers 46 lb/ft torque at 3,000 rpm. Both bikes weigh 200 kgs and receive black body work with features that include ABS, adjustable traction control, immobilizer, USB port and single circular dashboard. The V9 Bobber is set apart due to high profile Continental ContiMilestone tyres on spoke wheels, a slim seat, retro styled head and tail lamps and single front disc brake.
MOTO GUZZI V9 RoamerMoto Guzzi also brings the V7 II Stornello to EICMA. It is powered by 744 cc V Twin engine mated to a 6 speed gearbox while clutch is new and more efficient. Weighing a total of 186 kgs, the Stornello boasts of Arrow exhaust, wire spoked wheels and capable off road tyres. A host of aluminum accents are seen on its makeup to include aluminum mudguards, footpegs and three sets of number plate holders while on-board equipment includes ABS and traction control.
MGX-21 Flying Fortress is also announced by Moto Guzzi. It is powered by a 1380cc air cooled V Twin engine offering 89 lb/ft torque sending power to rear wheels via a cardan final drive. Also sporting ABS and adjustable traction control and cruise control, the Flying Fortress sits on 21” front wheel while it sports a monochrome dot matrix display, entertainment system with stereo and Bluetooth connectivity.
