MV Agusta India launch expected this year, with a local partner

Word around suggests MV Agusta is in talks with a certain Indian auto giant for a joint venture, to bring its bikes into the sub continent.

MV Agusta could soon join the other major international motorcycle brands that have set foot in India in recent months, for a tough battle.
And it is believed that most motorcycles on MV Agusta’s portfolio will be brought to India. This would include Brutale, Stradale, Rivale, F3, F4 and even Turismo Veloce 800.

In the mid-size motorcycle segment, MV Agusta offers Brutale 675 and F3 675, which are powered by the same 675cc in-line three cylinder engine. Need a few more horses at reserve, there are far more options, like F3 800, Brutale 800, Rivale 800, Stradale 800 and Turismo Veloce 800, drawing power from 798cc three cylinder engine. Need one more cylinder, there are MV Agusta F4 and Brutale 1090; all of which are expected to make it to our shores.

But, beware, these will not come with easy-on-the-pocket price tags.
The lineup is expected to begin demanding Rs. 13 lakhs to Rs. 15 lakhs, fro the 675cc models; around Rs. 18 lakhs for the 800cc variants, and over Rs. 23 lakhs for the litre-class models. MV Agusta F4 can be expected to have sticker price of around Rs. 32 lakhs, and double it if at all the Italian motorcycle maker decides to bring in the F4 RC.
