New Dacia Duster Commercial variant launched as a pickup with roof
The Romanian car manufacturer has launched new Dacia Duster Commercial variant, seemingly to cater to customers who maintain their own stores and move stuff by themselves. Grammatically, Duster Commercial is nothing but a two-seater variant, with rear part of cabin loaded with absolutely nothing. It still has five doors, for ease of stowage / access to goods.
The rear seats of Duster are removed and plain rigid platform is laid at the back, to make the car more of a pickup with roof. This not only protects the commodities from the wrath of weather, but also gives a regular crossover variant appeal, that plays in favour of customers who may be shy to use the same pickup truck for other errands or to attend a gala of sorts.
The new Duster version thus offers 1,150 litres of load volume and 550 kg payload. Bearing the weight of the goods will be the range topping dCi diesel engine producing 110 PS. The new model can be availed with Ambiance or Lauréate feature package, each either as a 4×2 variant or in 4×4 configuration. Claimed mileage is 24 kmpl mileage for 4×2 model and 23 kmpl for 4×4.
New Dacia Duster Commercial is launched in the UK and is open for order, with deliveries slated to commence in later part of June. Price of Duster LCV starts from £9,595 (Rs. 8.82 lakhs) excluding VAT and OTR charges.
