Complete details of the new Ford Endeavour except the prices have been revealed ahead of its launch on January 2016. The new gen 7-seat premium SUV promises to be better than its obsolete predecessor in every respect. Based on a new ladder frame platform that is shared with the Ford Ranger pickup, the new Endeavour adopts a fresh design with an imposing road presence. The interior too has been massively improved. India-spec model will be offered with a set of two diesel engines. The base 2.2-litre motor churns out 160 PS and 385 Nm of torque and comes mated either to a 6-speed MT (4×2 or 4×4) or 6-speed AT (only 4×4). The range-topping 3.2-litre mill produces an impressive 200 PS and 470 Nm of torque. This motor is available only with the 6-speed AT and 4×4 system.
The new gen SUV comes packed with touchscreen infotainment system and many more.
All the four variants are available only in the Trend trim level. The elaborate equipment package includes 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Program, Traction Control System, Hill Launch Assist, Emergency Assistance, Ford MyKey, Hill Descent Control, foglamps, alloy wheels, projector headlamps, power adjustable driver seat, leather upholstery, ambient lighting, rear parking sensor, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, automatic headlamps and wipers, tyre pressure monitoring system and many more.

The new Ford Endeavour is expected to have a starting price of INR 25 lakhs (ex-showroom). The car will be assembled in India at Ford’s Chennai plant from Thai-sourced CKD kits. The car will be available in 6 exterior color options – Diamond White, Smoke Grey, Moondust Silver, Panther Black, Golden Bronze and Sunset Red.
