2017 Honda Dio scooter gets new colors, BSIV engine
In accordance with government regulations, which bans sale of BS3 compliant two wheelers from 1st April 2017, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India has launched the updated Dio with new colours and BSIV compliant engine.
Two wheeler manufacturers, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI), has updated the Dio scooter lineup. It sports five new colour options, a new 3D emblem while body colored grab rail has also been added. Price of the 2017 Honda Dio starts from INR 49,132 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
New Honda Dio is powered by a BSIV compliant 109.2 cc air cooled, single cylinder engine capable of 8 bhp peak power at 7,000 rpm and 8.77 Nm torque at 5,500 rpm mated to a V-Matic transmission. Top speed stands at 83kmph.

Colour options on offer are Vibrant Orange, Pearl Sports Yellow, Candy Jazzy Blue, Matte Axis Grey (metallic), and Sports Red. Speaking about features, the new Honda Dio is lighter than the older Dio by 2 kgs. This has resulted in slightly better acceleration. Ground clearance remains same at 158 mm while seat height is at 765 mm.
Changes on board the new 2017 Dio are the addition of colourful new graphics, revised instrument cluster, revised front, LED positioning lamp, mobile charging socket, and AHO – Always Headlamp On. Tyres are 10 inch tubeless from MRF while braking power is provided by drum brakes – no disc brakes on offer. It also gets Honda’s Combi-Brake system.
