New Isuzu MU-X India launch price INR 23.99 lakh

2017 Isuzu MU-X SUV has been launched in India in two trims – 4×4 and 4×2 variants. Price of the 4×2 variant is INR 23.99 lakh, and that of the 4×4 variant is INR 25.99 lakh, ex-showroom, New Delhi

To be assembled in India at company plant in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, the 7 seater Isuzu MU-X will take the place of MU-7 while it will compete head on with Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour along with a host of other SUVs in its class.

New Isuzu MU-X sports a bold exterior design dominated by 17” alloy wheels, 255/65 tyres, LED daytime running lights, fog lamps and projector headlamps. It also receives a dual slat chrome grille in the front and roof rails and a gloss grey bumper, side board and rear spoiler.

Engine specifications on the new Isuxu MU-X include a 3.0 liter turbo-diesel 4 cylinder engine offering 177 PS peak power and 380 Nm peak torque mated to a 5 speed auto transmission. The leaked brochure does not talk of a manual transmission option. Mileage claimed by 4×2 variant is 13.8 km/l.

This 7 seater family SUV will boast of comfortable interiors in a beige color scheme and a range of comfort and safety features. It will get an 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system, Bluetooth connectivity and a roof mounted 10” DVD monitor with 8 speakers. It also gets 6-way power adjustable driver seat, keyless entry, keyless start/stop, automatic climate control, cruise control.

Colour options on offer will include Titanium Silver Metallic, Cosmic Black Mica, Orchid Brown Mica, and Silky White Pearl. Safety features on offer include ABS, EBD, BA, ESC, Traction Control, hill start assist, dual airbags, all four disc brakes, etc. It comes with a 3 year / 1 lakh km warranty.

It is with this highly competitive pricing that the company hopes to attract buyers, specially when considered in comparison to the Fortuner and Endeavour, both of which are priced between INR 25-31 lakhs and INR 23-31 lakhs respectively.
