New Maruti Baleno 2018 stock offered at Rs 45k discount

While discounts schemes are usually offered by automakers around the festive season, when buyers like to make their purchases during the auspicious period, or at the year end so as to clear out stocks from company showrooms, Maruti dealers are offering special discounts on some of its models even in the month of February.

The pre facelift Maruti Baleno 2018 model is one such model which is being offered with a discount upto Rs.45,000 from most of the company dealerships. This is being done so as to clear stocks and make way for the updated model, which was launched at the end of January 2019 at Rs 5.45 lakhs. These discounts include cash discount and exchange bonus along with an additional corporate discount.

2018 Baleno

Maruti Suzuki Baleno, on sale in India for over three years, is retailed from the company’s NEXA outlets. The Baleno competes with the Hyundai i20. Where sales are concerned, it scores over the rival by a large margin.

Maruti Baleno crossed 5 lakh sales in 38 months in November 2018 making it the quickest model in India to achieve this target. Monthly sales average stood at 13,157 units or daily average of 438 units while the Baleno has consistently been at the top of sales charts.

2019 Baleno

To add further impetus to sales, the Baleno received a facelift in January 2019 with several updated exterior features and interior comforts; while it came in with the same set of engines. The new Baleno continues to be powered by a 1.2 liter petrol engine offering 83 hp power and a 1.3 liter diesel engine capable of 75 hp power mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox and CVT automatic transmission which is restricted to the petrol engine only.

Prices of the new 2019 Maruti Suzuki Baleno have been increased and prices now range between Rs.5.45 lakhs to Rs.8.77 lakhs, a hike of Rs.7,000-21,000 on the petrol and diesel manual variants going up to Rs.30,000-44,000 on the CVT variants.

Along with the facelifted Baleno, Maruti Suzuki also launched the new WagonR to compete with the new Hyundai Santro launched in India. The company also plans new launches in the months ahead that include the new gen Alto.
