It takes 5 minutes to fit a Maruti Swift, Baleno brake vacuum hose if your car is affected

Even as the new Maruti Suzuki Swift and Baleno have been recently launched, notices of recall will be sent out to 52,686 customers.

Update: For those whose car is affected, the possibly faulty brake vacuum hose is replaced in about 5 minutes. A service campaign being undertaken at company service stations to check for these faults ensures that inspection and brake vacuum hose replacement is free of cost for the customer, and you can dash in and out of there as explained to us by Manish Kanwar.

08/05/2018- Owners of the new Maruti Swift and Baleno have been notified to take their vehicles to the nearest Maruti Suzuki Service Station for inspection of a possible fault in brake vacuum hose. There are 52,686 units of these cars likely to be affected which have been produced during the period December 1, 2017 and March 16, 2018.

Even as notices are being issued to these vehicle owners, customers can also check if their Swift or Baleno is a part of this recall. Customers can visit the Maruti Suzuki official site and fill in chassis number of their vehicle which is MBH followed by the 14 digit alpha numeric number.

If the car appears on the list of recalled cars, customers are to take these vehicles to the company’s service station. This chassis number is mentioned on the vehicle invoice and registration documents and also embossed on vehicle ID plate. The recall commences from 14th May 2018.
