A camouflaged example of the new Mercedes E Class, accompanied by its stablemates C Class and S Class, took a tour of Las Vegas before heading to the CES 2016 (Consumer Electronic Show) which is taking place in the city.
At the CES, the Mercedes is showcasing the mid-size luxury sedan’s interiors. The company had already revealed a bunch of interior photographs while 31 official photos detailing the entire car were leaked a few days ago.
The new E Class subscribes to the brand’s latest design philosophy, making it hard for an untrained eye to differentiate it from its siblings. Nevertheless, in its latest avatar, the sedan has grown more elegant, sophisticated and premium.
The new model’s interior too is an amalgamation of elements that are seen in the C Class and S Class. Higher variants are equipped with S Class-like fully digital instrument console and infotainment screen while the lower variants get traditional analog dials. The transmission console and AC vents have their roots from the smaller C Class.
Available in both dark and light color themes, the new E Class’ cabin is appointed with premium leather and metallic elements. The new steering wheel comes with first-of-its-kind touch sensitive control buttons for the infotainment system.

The new Mercedes E Class is scheduled to be unveiled officially on Jan 11 at the NAIAS 2016 (Detroit Auto Show). Details of powertrains, technologies, dimensions and equipment are expected to be released during the world premiere.
