The small 4×4 Suzuki Jimny SUV has been spied inside company plant where production is at full swing. To be offered in two variants, of which one will be a standard version and the other a larger and better equipped Sierra. Each of these variants will get 3 trims each to include the XG, XL and XC.
2019 Suzuki Jimny has been spied on test a number of times, but for the first time without any camouflage. Several exterior and interior styling was evident which included a 5 slot grille in matte black, rounded headlamps, turn indicators, a wide airdam and round fog lights.
The new Jimny sits on blackened five spoke alloy wheels and gets a contrasting roof. Jinmy measures 3,300 mm in length, 1,475 mm in width and 1,715 mm in height and it sits on a 2,250 mm long wheelbase.
Interiors of the 2019 Suzuki Jimny also sport a black color scheme. It gets a well equipped dashboard with large SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system, central air conditioning and automatic climate controls. Keyless entry, engine stop/start and automatic headlamps will be exclusively offered only on the top end variants.
Suzuki Jimny SUV will be powered by a 0.66 liter (660cc) turbocharged, three cylinder petrol engine and a 1.5 liter naturally aspirated three cylinder petrol engine both of which will come in mated to a 5 speed manual or 4 speed automatic gearbox.
Being a capable off roader, Suzuki’s AllGrip 4×4 system will also be on offer for improved off-roading capabilities. The price of the 2019 Suzuki Jimny, if launched in India, is expected to start at around Rs 8 lakhs.
