Old Maruti Ciaz being sold at Rs 1.5 lakh discount ahead of new Maruti Ciaz launch

With new Maruti Ciaz facelift due for launch next month, production of the old Ciaz has ended. Those dealers who have stock of the old Ciaz, are selling them at huge discounts.

Apart from discounts, you also get exchange bonus on your old car and free insurance. This brings the total benefit up to Rs 1.5 lakh. A dealer confirmed that the old stock was getting sold like hot cakes and was soon going to be out of stock.

Speaking about the new Maruti Ciaz, it is going to be launched next month. Production has started at full capacity at the company plant. New Ciaz will start gertting dispatched to NEXA premium dealers as early as next week. Some NEXA dealers have also started accepting bookings.

Even as the overall design of 2018 Ciaz facelift remains unchanged, it does get a new set of bumpers, an updated front grille, LED head and tail lamps and new alloy wheels. Chrome accents are seen throughout its exterior makeup adding a more premium appeal. It is unlikely that the new Ciaz will sport a sunroof.

Interiors of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift have also been detailed. It will get new seat fabric, dual tone cabin, smart play infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, in-built navigation, steering mounted controls and a digital speedometer. Cabin comforts will include rear arm rest holders which will be offered on top variants.

Biggest change in Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will be its new engine lineup. It will be powered by a new 1.5 litre K15B petrol engine, which will be taking the place of the older 1.4 litre K14 petrol engine. K15B will be capable of 104 hp power and 138 Nm torque mated to manual and automatic transmissions options.

New Ciaz will also get the existing 1.3 litre diesel engine, which could be replaced with a 1.5 litre diesel engine later. This engine is currently under development. New Ciaz facelift will compete against Toyota Yaris, Honda City and Hyundai Verna upon launch in India.
