Pininfarina H600 Concept with 800 hp turbine hybrid powertrain unveiled

Pininfarina H600 Concept luxury saloon can sprint to 100 kmph in 2.9 seconds and has projected range of over 999 kms.

Mahindra-owned Italian design firm Pininfarina has delivered two world premieres at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. We have already spoken about the Fittipaldi EF7 Vision Gran Turismo concept yesterday. In this post we will talk about their second concept – the H600 ‘eco-sustainable’ luxury sedan.

Designed and manufactured by Pininfarina for the Chinese automotive firm Hybrid Kinetic Group, the H600 is described as the “perfect combination of pure design and eco-friendly technology”. It is around the size of a long wheelbase Mercedes S-Class or BMW 7 Series and Pininfarina claims that interiors have the layout of a lounge and more space at the rear as is normally seen in the saloon segment.

The front fascia is composed of a hexagonal honeycomb grille with vertical chrome slats, sleek LED headlamps, boomerang-shaped LED foglights and a neatly contoured bonnet. The ultra modern dashboard features fully digital instrument console in addition to a large touchscreen multimedia infotainment system. The two-spoke flat-bottomed steering wheel carries both Pininfarina and HKG branding. You also get a centre-mounted analog clock. The cabin seems to employ new age materials and design solutions.

Painted a subtle shade of metallic grey, the exterior of the H600 receives pillarless doors and gets a large front grille allowing a generous amount of air into the turbine. Interiors receive leather and wood trims, a flat bottomed steering wheel and a dashboard with a central infortainment touchscreen and digital instrument display. Passengers at the rear receive their individual screens.

In terms of powertrain, the Pininfarina H600 sedan gets a hybrid powertrain that Pininfarina claims makes over 800 hp peak power. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 2.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 249 kmph.
