Range Rover Evoque Convertible is geared up to mark its entry as the first luxury convertible SUV in India. With launch scheduled on March 27, 2018, the convertible first caught people’s attention at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Details uploaded to the Land Rover India website point to it being powered by JLR’s latest 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol. The engine powers Velar, launched in India in January 2018.
The Range Rover Evoque Convertible four-cylinder unit delivers 240 hp of peak power (250hp in the Velar) and 340Nm of torque. The Si4 AT 4WD 2.0 L petrol engine (177 kW) is mated to 9 speed transmission. The car reaches a max speed of 217 km/h, and goes from 0-100 km/h in 8.1 seconds.
Range Rover Evoque Convertible fully-loaded HSE Dynamic is being made available for India. Features – Grille bars in Narvik Black with Corris Grey surround (surround is Atlas on Corris Grey and Silicon Silver vehicles); Body-coloured door handles; Adaptive Xenon headlights with LED signature; Power fold, heated door mirrors with memory functionality, approach and puddle lights; and Rain sensing windscreen wipers.
Keyless Entry; Front Parking Aid; Surround Camera System; Perforated Windsor leather seats (Dynamic design), 12-way electric front seats with memory; Meridian Surround Sound System 660 W with 12 speakers plus subwoofer (Touch Pro); 25.4 cm (10) Touchscreen; Navigation Pro; Configurable Ambient Interior Lighting; and Illuminated aluminium front treadplates with Range Rover script feature.
Wind deflector fixing points are provided for the option of a wind deflector to reduce air draft. A pop-up roll-bar system deploys for protection during rollover risk.
