Nepal PM congratulates Renault India on launching Kwid, Duster in their country

Renault Duster and Kwid will play a major role in the company’s expansion plans in Nepal.

Launched in Nepal by Renault India, through local authorized dealers Advanced Automobiles, a subsidiary of Vishal Group, Renault Duster and Kwid have made their official entry into Nepal.

The Duster sports utility vehicle and Kwid hatchback will be ideally suited for demands of buyers in the country especially considering its affordable pricing, host of on board safety features and a slew of comfort and convenience features.

Where pricing is concerned, Renault Duster SUV will have a base price of NPR 35.3 lakh (INR 22.06 lakh) while Renault Kwid will start at NPR 16.8 lakh (INR 10.5 lakh). Both cars were on display at the 11th NADA Auto Show being held from August 30 to September 4 at Bhrikuti Mandap Hall. Both models will be manufactured and exported to Nepal by Renault India.

Renault Kwid is being offered in two engine options to include 0.8 liter and 1 liter three-cylinder petrol engines offering 54 hp and 72 Nm torque and 68 hp and 91 Nm torque respectively. Both engines are mated to 5 speed manual gearbox.

Renault Duster will receive both petrol and diesel engine options to include a 1.6 liter petrol and 1.5 liter diesel. It receives electronic control system and automatic remote control system and is being presented in 7 different color options.

Expecting to note outstanding sales in Nepal, Renault has confirmed that after sales service will be offered from 6 company showrooms while an additional number of showrooms are expected to be opened in the next four months.
