Ranbir Kapoor is new Renault India brand ambassador: Will star in KWID TVC

Ranbir Kapoor who was brand ambassador for Nissan India earlier, is now brand ambassador for the Renault India. The news has been confirmed by Renault India. Ranbir will be starring in a new series of TVCs from Renault India, including one which will showcase all their cars on offer in India.

In the teaser released by the company, Ranbir is seen driving the new Lodgy MPV and Duster SUV. While the teaser also shows sketches of Kwid, implying the fact that he will be the face of Renault Kwid as well.

Widely regarded as the ‘Rockstar’ of Indian Cinema – Ranbir Kapoor, has an energetic appeal and connects to the youth. This is the reason he has been chosen as their new brand ambassador. (Anil Kapoor was previous Renault India brand ambassador.)

Renault’s new Kwid hatchback is a small entry level car, set to take on the likes of Maruti Alto, Hyundai Eon and Datsun Go. Featuring more equipment, colours, and space, Renault Kwid is targeted towards young car buyers in India.

Renault India completes four years in India and this year, they will launch one of their most ambitious project in the history of Renault Group – Kwid. Confirmed to be priced under Rs 4 lakhs, Kwid made its global premiere in India earlier this year. Apart from launching the new Kwid, Renault is also actively working towards widening their network of dealers. Renault India dealerships and service outlets are expected to touch 280 by the end of this year.

To be offered with a new 800 cc petrol engine, Renault Kwid will come with manual and AMT gearboxes. Manufactured on the Renault CMF-A platform, Kwid has 98% localization level, which is the reason why it will be priced aggressively.
